The GROWTH Coaching Clinic

Overview

Today’s highly competitive business environment demands that individuals and organisations perform at higher levels and with greater speed than ever before.  Leaders must place a new emphasis on individual and collective learning and creativity, helping employees to grow their skills. Coaching can serve as an important tool for this.  The GROWTH Coaching Clinic® provides the process to develop leaders’ coaching abilities and achieve these goals.

Managers nowadays need to expand on their roles as leaders.  A key role of the manager is that of coach.  Effective coaching has been proven to bring out the best in people, if facilitated the right way.

The GROWTH Coaching Clinic® course focuses on how to better coach your employees to higher performance. Coaching is a process of relationship building and setting goals. How well you coach is related directly to how well you are able to foster a great working relationship with your employees through understanding them and strategic goal setting.

What is The GROWTH Coaching Clinic?

The GROWTH Coaching Clinic® is a two-day interactive workshop geared toward anyone who provides coaching to others—including executives, managers, and HR professionals.  Participants gain an in-depth understanding of the coaching process, develop crucial coaching skills and competencies, and practice using those skills with real work situations while in 3CM's GROWTH Coaching Clinic.

There are several coaching models and OURS is ideal for results and behavioural based change coaching. It enables the 3CM coach to structure a coaching framework and deliver meaningful results.

It does involve the elements of TRUST...PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY...PASSION...PERSONAL COMMITMENT by both parties.

The most important step is identifying the REAL goal and that needs in depth COACHING and at times CRITICAL CONVERSATIONS in itself to really burrow into the issues.

The GROWTH Coaching Clinic® is built around the COACHING CONVERSATION MODEL® which helps participants develop coaching capabilities in six key steps: establishing focus, discovering possibilities, planning the action, removing barriers, and recapping.

The GROWTH Coaching Conversation Model

1. Goals - Establishing a focus and agree on the aims and objectives of the session

2. Reality - What is happening now and understanding the impact

3. Options - Knowing the potential, discovering possibilities and identify options

4. What's next - The call and commitment to action, identify possible obstacles

5. Tactics - Identify how to overcome the obstacles to achieve the 'will'

6. Habits - How do we embed the selected options consistently in the workplace

Achievement of results in any organisation is through the individual achievements of its people. Managers need to be proactive in addressing and responding to specific opportunities to improve performance of their employees.  This programme will help participants develop the skills to support and sustain improved performance by others.

Coaching can improve your organisational efficiency as well as give the manager and coachee tremendous momentum for achieving the organisation’s outcomes.

Learning Approach...its a process not an event

A variety of learning approaches are used to reflect the diversity of participants and linked to our consultants subject matter expertise for the most engaging methodology to the adult learning principles.

3CM's Experiential Learning Cycle

3CM utilised Kolb's experiential learning style theory to develop its own model and is typically represented by a five stage learning cycle in which the learner 'touches all the bases':
Experiencing Publishing Processing Generalising Applying

Learning from a 'doing' a relevant and engaging activity

Learning from sharing reactions and observations with other participants

Learning from examining that activity critically and discussing patterns, dynamics with other participants

Learning from useful insight that could be used outside the activity setting

Learning by applying the insights to work by determining how it could be used in actual situations.

Learning Strategy

Transference of LearningDeveloping a High Performance Culture

Our courses are highly participative workshops and project forums in the true sense.  You'll have an opportunity to explore issues and practice skills during individual and group activities (Action Learning).  We believe that the most beneficial elements of our workshops are your opportunities to perform the new skills and receive feedback (not only from the facilitator, but from your peers as well).

We use “Action learning”, as a process in which groups of learners collaborate to solve actual workplace problems. In this way, organisations benefit from gaining solutions to critical challenges and participants benefit by learning from their experiences.

We follow a quick pace in our workshops so expect a high-content, high-involvement, high-energy programme.  We'll use checklists, handouts, questionnaires, learning guides, worksheets and workbooks, and samples of templates to provide you with tangible guidance in developing new skills.  Numerous tips and techniques are contained in the course materials and reinforced during exercises.  The focus and efficiency you gain from the workshop will reduce your extra workload.

To summarise – our approach is to do it rather than talk about it.
