Because all the easy health & safety problems have already been solved. In a world of growing complexity, the traditional approaches to workplace health and safety are no longer sufficient to run modern organisations.
The Certificate IV in Occupational Health and Safety is a nationally recognised and accredited programme that provides participants with the knowledge, skills and competencies in a wide variety of contexts. They apply solutions to a defined range of unpredictable problems, and analyse and evaluate information from a variety of sources. They may provide leadership and guidance to others with some limited responsibility for the output of others.

Requirements to obtain a qualification
To achieve the Certificate IV in Occupational Health & Safety candidates must complete 9 units of competency – 6 occupational health and safety units plus 3 elective units.
Industry consultation and the clustering of competency units
As a result of numerous conversations and consultation with organisations, 3CM has found management wants staff to acquire only the identified key units from the full qualification – those which would ensure they hold “skill sets” directly relevant to their business needs. Under this approach, candidates would still benefit by gaining statements of attainments for the units they complete Certificate IV in OHS.

The objective of the Regulatory OHS & Risk Management for Managers Supervisors & Team Leaders course is to give managers, supervisors, and team leaders the extended knowledge and skills to effectively perform their OHS accountabilities and responsibilities under the appropriate legislation. This programme will be extremely helpful in assisting mangers, supervisors and team leaders to develop a total business risk management plan incorporating OHS risks.
