Programme Overview

Diploma of Management or Certificate IV in Frontline Management

This is one of the most successful and highly regarded development programmes for talented frontline managers, supervisors and team leaders. With five (5) modules over thirteen (13) weeks, it offers students an intensive learning strategy and a comprehensive coverage of the critical skills, knowledge required to operate effectively in a frontline management role.

Students will be challenged to reflect on their own roles, behaviourial styles and to explore ways they can significantly contribute to the performance culture of their work team.

This programme is specifically designed to create a Return of Training Investment (ROTI) for both the student and the organisation through a highly interactive learning methodology and the planning and implementation of a workplace project.

  • Access to the online Learning Management System.
  • A half day Workplace Project Forum to monitor progress and obtain feedback from the assessor.
  • It continues with additional support to monitor progress with a 1 hour of coaching by phone throughout the program.

Requirements to Receive the National Qualification/s

By successfully completing the face-to-face workshop and assessment requirements of the units of competence from either the Diploma or Certificate IV qualification, or apply for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). Students can achieve the nationally recognised qualification with either or combination of both approaches.  RPL is a process that enables those who are interested in gaining the qualification to be granted exemption from some or all of the training programmes.

  • Diploma of Management - to successfully complete eight (8) units
  • Certificate IV in Frontline Management - to successfully complete ten (10) units

The table below lists which modules are required depending on whether the student aims to complete the Diploma of Management or Certificate IV in Frontline Management qualification. 

Important Note: It is anticipated that students enrolling in the Diploma of Management will have responsibility for the management and leadership of people that report directly to them.

Transference of LearningStudents will take part in a highly interactive project forum, with group discussion and collaborative research for maximum impact and learning. The DiSC behavioural profiling is used in relation to strengths and challenges. This is followed up with 4 half day project forums for students to work on their projects and receive feedback from an Assessor.
