This qualification reflects the role of individuals working as developing and emerging leaders and managers in a range of enterprise and industry contexts.

As well as assuming responsibility for their own performance, individuals at this level provide leadership, guidance and support to others. They also have some responsibility for organising and monitoring the output of their team.

They apply solutions to a defined range of predictable and unpredictable problems, and analyse and evaluate information from a variety of sources.

It is important to note that 3CM adopts a number of assessments instruments that are designed to best suit your course and the knowledge and skills that is required to be demonstrated by each participant. All assessments are identified clearly in our Student's Course Handbook which are provided to students upon enrolment. The Learner Guides provides details on the timing and style of assessment. It is important to note that participants need to demonstrate competency through each of the prescribed assessment items throughout your time enrolled in the course. Pre requisites

There are no entry requirements for the Certificate IV in Leadership & Management qualification.

Pathways into the qualification

Preferred pathways for candidates considering this qualification include:

An existing qualification from the (BSB) Business Services Training Package at Certificate III Level


with vocational experience in a supervisory role but no formal qualification.

This breadth of expertise would equate to the competencies required to undertake this qualification.

Pathways from the qualification

After achieving this qualification candidates may undertake:

the BSB51918 Diploma of Leadership & Management.

Requirements to Receive this National Qualification

The Certificate IV in Leadership &  Management qualification requires participants to successfully complete 4 core units plus 8 elective units.

By successfully completing the face-to-face workshops and assessment requirements of the Certificate IV in Leadership &  Management Programme, or apply for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). Participants can achieve the nationally recognised qualification with either or combination of both approaches.  RPL is a process that enables those who are interested in gaining the qualification to be granted exemption from some or all of the training programmes.
